Paul Ryan just Humiliated Trump and his Tweets in Public
Paul Ryan just roasted President Donald Trump, he was speaking at the annual AI Smith Dinner in New York on Thursday. And joked about how he handles the tweets of President Trump.
Ryan told 100s the dinner’s attendees “Every morning, I wake up in my office and scroll Twitter to see which tweets I will have to pretend that I didn’t see later,”
He further states “I know last year at this dinner Donald Trump offended some people with his comments, which critics said went too far. Some said it was unbecoming of a public figure and that his comments were offensive,” the speaker said referring to the awkward dinner in which Trump and Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton appeared to go beyond roasting each other.
He added by saying “Well, thank God he’s learned his lesson,”
The dinner is a white fundraiser for the first catholic charities and it was in the name of Gov. Alfred E. Smith, the first Catholic nominee for president, This event has become a friendly meeting ground for presidential candidates, who often take to jokingly jabbing at one another.
But the last year’s dinner between Donald Trump was tense and tumultuous due to the 2016 Presidential election. “Hillary accidentally bumped into me and she very civilly said: ‘Pardon me,’” he said. “And I very politely replied, ‘Let me talk to you about that after I get into office,’” Trump said, referring to his threat to prosecute Clinton.
Clinton retaliated by saying “People look at the Statue of Liberty and they see a proud symbol of our history as a nation of immigrants. A beacon of hope for people around the world. Donald looks at the Statue of Liberty and sees a four. Maybe a five if she loses the torch and tablet and changes her hair.”…
