Mother of the Fallen Soldier just said “Trump disrespected My son”
Donald Trump is disrespecting our nation and its heros through his constant idiotic actions! few weeks ago, Trump made a fuss about black NFL athletes disrespected the national anthem by kneeling during the game. He claimed that these athletes had disrespected our troops, while in reality, the athletes only took a kneel a sign of protest against police brutality.
But , President Trump today just insulted a fallen soldier who was killed two weeks ago on patrol in Niger by unknown militants. In order to offer to console, the President called grieving war widow Myeshia Johnson, whose husband La David Johnson was killed in Niger and uttered some heartless words.
Later, he took to Twitter to boast about the same and accused Democratic Representative Frederica Wilson, who overheard the President’s call to Myeshia Johnson that her husband “knew what he signed up for” by way of “consoling” her, of lying to the public about his words.
However, the mother of the fallen soldier, Cowanda Jones-Johnson, who was also present in the vehicle with Myeshia when the President called, confirmed Wilson’s claim. She also told the Washington Post in no uncertain terms that “President Trump did disrespect my son and my daughter and also me and my husband.”
Wilson further told the Washington Post that she wanted to “curse [Trump] out” when she heard his comment, which she said made Myeshia Johnson cry.
When the Post asked Sgt. Johnson’s mother, Cowanda Jones-Johnson, who was also in the car during the phone conversation, if Wilson’s account was accurate, she simply replied: “Yes.”
She added “President Trump did disrespect my son and my daughter and also me and my husband,”
Interestingly The White House initially refused to confirm or deny the story, but Trump took to Twitterearly Wednesday to claim that the Florida congresswoman “totally fabricated” the story, adding that he has “proof.”
This shows the height of hypocrisy for President Trump, who spent the past two weeks complaining about how NFL players are “disrespecting the troops” by kneeling before the national anthem to then ignore the death of four American soldiers. Moreover, he also went for golfing five times before making a call to the mourning families but only offered disrespect and callous words in the name of “comfort.”
One shudders to think of where this is going to go. Is the President going to engage in yet another one of his high-profile and painfully embarrassing feuds with the family of a fallen soldier?
