Donald Trump’s Golf course just received a real bad news from the Miami Heat .they have decided that they will not hold their annual charity Golf tournament at Trump’s Doral Golf Course near Miami this year
Washington Post has reported this exclusive story from Miami, according to the Post A spokesman for the NBA team told them that the tournament will be at a different course in 2018, after having it at Trump’s course for four straight years, but did not give a specific reason for the change.
The spokesman told the Washington post “We’re not getting into it,”
According to the Post Miami Heat is one of at least five professional sports teams who have moved their golf tournaments from Trump clubs,.
After the NFL controversy, many sports teams, its owners have publicly criticised President Trump and the President has been feuding with NFL teams over players that kneel rather than stand as a form of protest during the national anthem. His ire has also extended to some NBA players, like Golden State Warriors player Steph Curry, who Trump “un-invited” to the White House after Curry expressed reluctance to attend a traditional visit with the championship team.
Many professional sports teams have also stopped staying in Trump hotels, citing the president’s divisiveness.
At leats seven sports teams held their golf tournaments at Trump Clubs. And currently at least five of them have decided not to return to his Clubs!. They are baseball’s Los Angeles Dodgers, basketball’s Los Angeles Clippers, hockey’s New York Rangers, soccer’s L.A. Galaxy, and now the Heat. Of those, only the Galaxy was explicit that it left Trump’s course to avoid an association with Trump’s politics. The Dodgers and Rangers blamed nonpolitical factors. The Heat and Clippers haven’t said why they left.
