Former President Obama slammed Trump with a knockout punch for the ages
Former President Barack Obama and President Donald Trump both revealed their beliefs and visions of America, which revealed a lot about their personalities. Both leaders had contrasting approach and ideology from each other like water and oil.
Obama gave a surprise for more than 1,000 computer science students and educators, he connected to them through a conference call organized by the Computer Science for All Consortium to provide further encouragement to the aspiring tech students.
Later, he Tweeted his support for the Computer Science for All initiative he enacted in January 2016:
While Trump was in contrast to Obama. The president at the UN stressed principles of sovereignty and doubled down on his radical rhetoric, particularly regarding Iran while echoing his mocking “Rocket Man” tweet regarding Kim Jong-un that he made over the weekend:
Trump at the UN threatened North Korea of destroying Kim Jong-un and his country then swiftly moved on to declare that the Iranian Nuclear deal “all but dead”. Trump later repeated a foreign policy that would put America first, asserting that “the nation-state remains the best vehicle for elevating the human condition.”
However, Trump didn’t utter a word on Russia and the increased tensions in the Ukraine. He didn’t even address the issue of climate change or the Paris Climate Accord.
Now, the nation and the world finds itself at a precipitous, and each citizen needs to decide whether they will choose the exclusive nationalistic, isolationist policies of Donald Trump, or the inclusive nature of Barack Obama, best captured in a statement regarding the cs initiative, “As I’ve always said, this country is at its best when we lift each other up and make sure that we’re extending opportunity to everybody.”
