Donald Trump just unveiled the actual reason he’s not taking action to help Puerto Rico!
President Donald Trump continues to allow the situation in Puerto Rico deteriorate by cutting off aids to millions of Americans suffering in the island. The consequences of Trump’s unforgivable bungling of the Puerto Rico’s hurricane recovery efforts worsen by the day.
Still, the White House hasn’t given waive off to the Jones Act for the island of Puerto Rico. The trade restrictions are keeping foreign ships from depositing despairingly required aid supplies to the island, where 1.5 million Americans are without clean drinking water.

As Trump is already complimenting himself for his response to the crisis in Puerto Rico, thousands of consignments of relief supplies are stuck on the docks, thanks to the Jones Act.
However, Trump had already made his priorities clear, “We’re thinking about that, but we have a lot of shippers and a lot of people that work in the shipping industry that doesn’t want the Jones Act lifted.”
He conceded that he’s deliberately putting the needs of the wealthy owners of shipping companies ahead of millions of American citizens- even though he already issued a waiver for Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.
While he has said that he’s “considering” a waiver for the island, his determination to not send a plea for more FEMA resources before the second week of October explains itself.
The needless suffering of the Puerto Rican people is a terrifying glimpse into what’s in store for the American people under Donald Trump.
